SEP: These students will have a 5-day long weekend starting on February 28
In these two cities, students will not go to school for five days and will not return until Wednesday, March 5, unlike the others.

Absolutely everyone is happy because there are no classes this coming February 28th , but surely more than one will be envious knowing that there are certain students who will have a 5-day long weekend where in addition to not going to school they will go to a party.
The Secretariat of Public Education in Mexico announced at the national level in the 2024-2025 school calendar that there will be no classes next Friday, February 28 due to the School Technical Council that is held every last Friday of the month.
The School Technical Council is an event in which teachers and principals meet to update and improve educational strategies. For this reason, students in basic education will not attend classes .
Students will thus enjoy a three-day holiday : Friday, Saturday and Sunday, returning to classes on Monday, March 3, 2025.
These students will not return until March 5th
However, not all students will return on March 3, as in the municipalities of Mazatlán and Salvador Alvarado, in Sinaloa, students will have an additional break due to the Carnival festivities , making it a five-day mega-long weekend .
In these locations, students will return to classes until Wednesday, March 5, coinciding with Ash Wednesday this year.
