The city of Los Mochis has been experiencing a problem of low drinking water levels for a week , which continues to affect more than 60 neighborhoods and some surrounding communities.

The most critical situation is in the southern area, because the low levels of channel 23+700 that supplies the José Hernández Terán water treatment plant only allow it to operate at 60 percent of its capacity.

Given this situation, the Drinking Water and Sewerage Board of the Municipality of Ahome (JAPAMA) reiterated its call to the population to store and use the liquid responsibly.

"We continue to experience low pressure in the southern area of the city of Los Mochis due to low levels in channel 23+700. We recommend storing what is necessary and taking extreme care of the water in each use," JAPAMA reported.
