More than 266,000 fentanyl pills worth 178 million pesos were seized in Navolato.

Security forces dealt a heavy blow to organized crime by seizing more than 178 million pesos worth of fentanyl and methamphetamine during operations deployed in Navolato, Sinaloa , this Monday , March 10. During the morning conference of the Presidency of the Republic, the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), Omar García Harfuch, specified that the seizure involves 8 kilograms and 266 thousand fentanyl pills , as well as 18 kilograms of methamphetamine .

"In Navolato , Sinaloa , Defense seized 8kg of fentanyl and 266 thousand fentanyl pills , as well as 18kg of methamphetamine with an approximate value of 178 million pesos . Handguns and long weapons were also seized," he commented.

The 266,000 fentanyl pills were stored in 79 clear plastic bags , while the methamphetamine was also stored in bags with the same characteristics.

During the operation , the elements seized 2 long weapons, 2 hand weapons, 1 black tactical vest, 17 magazines for long weapons, 2 magazines for hand weapons and hundreds of bullets of different calibers.
