Mazatlán Carnival: What events are happening TODAY, Thursday, February 27?

The Mazatlan International Carnival is one of the most anticipated events by locals and foreigners who enjoy this wonderful annual festivity . As every year, the port of Mazatlan is more than ready and prepared to receive around 900 thousand to one million people at the event .

With more than a century of history , this carnival is not only the largest in the Mexican Pacific, but also one of the most emblematic in the country and is visited year after year by people from all over the world who are delighted with the spectacle that takes place.

2025 Edition: The Pearl

This 2025 edition called " La Perla " will take place from today, Thursday 27th, until next Tuesday, March 4th, where you can enjoy the coronations of the kings and queens, the emblematic parade on Sunday and, of course, the magnificent musical performances by internationally renowned artists.

First day of Carnival : What to do today, Thursday 27th? Coronation of the King of Carnival Joy

The first official coronation of the carnival takes place and the King of Joy is in charge of starting this activity. This year it was Brayan Durán's turn to be the king of the Mazatlecos and the entire port.

Although Jorge Medina and Josi Cuen were initially going to be the first to start the Carnival concerts , due to various situations unrelated to the Carnival , their performance had to be cancelled for the safety of the artists.

However, this place was quickly occupied by one of the most popular tours that have ever traveled through Mexico, the 90s Pop Tour , who will be responsible for this first concert.
