Following operations in Tierra Blanca, four properties were seized and three women were arrested.

After following up on the operations deployed in Tierra Blanca , Culiacán on February 19, where two homes with underground tunnels were secured, authorities arrested three women after searching four properties in Culiacán and Mocorito , said the Secretary of Public Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch .

During the operation , a long firearm , two handguns, three magazines, 37 cartridges, a bag of blue pills, seven telephone devices, and various documents were also seized .

It was during the morning conference of the Presidency of the Republic where Omar García Harfuch highlighted the operations deployed in Culiacán and Mocorito .

"I would like to add that last week, the Security Cabinet, through the Attorney General's Office, also conducted four searches as a result of investigations into a criminal cell in dispute in the area. Four properties were located with military intelligence information used for criminal activities in the municipalities of Mocorito and Culiacán . Four search warrants were executed. Three people were arrested," he commented.

García Harfuch explained that, following up on lines of investigation and intelligence work , security agents obtained the location of the four properties used by members of criminal groups for shelter and to carry out illegal activities.

Surveillance in the areas

To this end, he explained that fixed and mobile surveillance was installed in the area, in addition to using technological tools, with the aim of gathering more information .

The Secretary indicated that with the evidence obtained, a Control Judge granted the ministerial orders to intervene in the properties , so a simultaneous operation was carried out on Tiburón Street in the Banus subdivision and on a ranch located in the town of Monte Verde, in the municipality of Culiacán and on two more ranches located in the towns of El Platanar and on María Dolores Corrales Street, in the town of Pericos, in the municipality of Mocorito .

He explained that the properties were sealed and under police protection while the forfeiture procedure is carried out . The detainees were informed of their constitutional rights and, along with the seized items, were placed at the disposal of the corresponding Public Prosecutor's Office, who will determine their legal status.
