36 illegal video surveillance cameras seized in different sectors of Culiacán

Police and military personnel from the Interinstitutional Group carried out an operation to remove video surveillance cameras that were installed irregularly by individuals in the municipality of Culiacán .
The following were located and removed in Culiacán :
5 wireless PTZ cameras
2 wired PTZ cameras
29 fixed cameras
1 Access Point device for internet
In total, 36 video surveillance cameras and 1 internet device were removed on this date .
Almost 900 cameras have been seized
It should be noted that the cumulative total after these operations is 878 cameras removed from public structures since this operation began .
It is noted that none of the cameras that have been removed are linked to the C4i , and that the institutional video surveillance system has technological security measures to prevent hacking or the creation of unauthorized mirrors.




The public is reminded that the installation of this type of equipment by private individuals in public structures or places is illegal . In addition , a call is made to report anonymously through 089 or the emergency line 911 the existence or placement of this equipment, which is sometimes used by organized crime to monitor the actions of the authorities.
